The book continues investigations presented in The Concept of State in Polish Political Thought in the Period 1918-1939 by Jerzy Juchnowski and Jan Ryszard Sielezin. It presents the development of Polish political thought during World war II. Authors try to synthetize this process, what proved to be an ambitious attempt. Especially when you consider the lack of previous studies and the high number of Polsih political parties in exile. (...) The book discusses different issues, but all are related to the major subject: the idea of Polish statehood and the nation’s situation during the war and occupation. (...) The war is essential for book’s narrative-its course highly influenced the development of Polish political thought and public debates. (...) The book presents a key aspect of contemporary polish history. The academic investigation of the development of Polish political thought during World war II has to be continued and popularized. Publishing this book in English should be recognized as its value. Therefore it may intoduce the history of Polish political thought to the mainstream of academic debates.
