Politics of PostTotalitarian Trauma

The Polish Political Science Yearbook invites all scholars to participate in the 6th PPSY International Seminar Politics of PostTotalitarian Trauma (September 5, 2017, Toruń). The conference supports the special section of the volume 46 (2) (2017) and its objective is to consider political strategies to overcome totalitarian past and sorrow experiences of repressions.
The organisers invite authors with papers, posters and presentations related to following issues:
dealing with the totalitarian past,
strategies to overcome legacies of totalitarism and repressions,
remembering and forgetting as stategies of identityreconstruction,
contents of posttotalitarian remembrance narratives,
posttotalitarian landscape of memory,
legacies of totalitarism in Central Europe.
All submitted papers will be fast-track reviewed for PPSY 46 (2) of 2017 (the peer-reviewed and indexed international journal, Polish List B 13 points). The PPSY Special Section on Central European security will be published in the journal in NovemberDecember 2017.
How to Apply: please submit the Online Application Form before August 7, 2017. Decisions will be announced on August 9, 2017.
Forms of Participation: the organisers accept presentation of papers and posters.
Participation Fee: 250 PLN or 60 EUR, paid before August 20, 2017. The fee does not include the accommodation and costs of travel.
